Hadith 4258

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي : حَدَّثَكَ عَمْرُو بْنُ مُجَمِّعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْهَجَرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَنْ سَيَّبَ السَّوَائِبَ ، وَعَبَدَ الْأَصْنَامَ أَبُو خُزَاعَةَ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، وَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُهُ يَجُرُّ أَمْعَاءَهُ فِي النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The first person to set free «سائبه» among animals, and the one who started idol worship, was Abu Khuza'ah 'Amr bin 'Amir, and I saw him dragging his intestines in Hell."
