(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي : حَدَّثَكَ عَمْرُو بْنُ مُجَمِّعٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْهَجَرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَتَى أَحَدَكُمْ خَادِمُهُ بِطَعَامِهِ ، فَلْيُدْنِهِ ، فَلْيُقْعِدْهُ عَلَيْهِ ، أَوْ لِيُلْقِمْهُ ، فَإِنَّهُ وَلِيَ حَرَّهُ وَدُخَانَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "When a servant or worker brings food to any one of you, he should let him eat from it first, or make him sit with him, because he has endured its heat and smoke."
