Hadith 4244

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ ، عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا سَمَرَ إِلَّا لِمُصَلٍّ أَوْ مُسَافِرٍ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No one is permitted to talk after the 'Isha prayer except for two persons: one who is praying or one who is traveling."
