Hadith 4242

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " امْشُوا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَإِنَّهُ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ ، وَسُنَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say that you should walk to the mosque on foot because this is the Sunnah and way of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
