Hadith 4170

Ibrahim bin Suwaid, who was the imam of their mosque after Alqamah, says that once Sayyiduna Alqamah (may Allah be pleased with him) led us in the Zuhr prayer. I do not remember whether he prayed three rak‘ahs or five. When the people mentioned this to him, he asked me, "O one-eyed! What is your opinion?" I said, "The people are correct." Upon this, he performed the prostration of forgetfulness (sajda sahw), and after that, he narrated a hadith from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with him).
