(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ، يَقُولُ : " أُوتِيَ نَبِيُّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَفَاتِيحَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ غَيْرَ الْخَمْسِ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الأَرْحَامِ وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ مَاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًا وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ سورة لقمان آية 34 " . قَالَ : قُلْتُ لَهُ : أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، أَكْثَرَ مِنْ خَمْسِينَ مَرَّةً .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was given the keys to everything except five things. Then he recited this verse: « ﴿إِنَّ اللّٰهَ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْأَرْحَامِ وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ مَاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًا وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ إِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ﴾ » [لقمان : 34] "The knowledge of the Hour is with Allah alone. He sends down the rain, and He knows what is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in which land it will die. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware."
