It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was praying when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said from a distance: "O Ibn Umm 'Abd! Ask, you will be given." There was competition between the two Shaykhs to convey this good news to me. Sayyiduna 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that in whatever matter Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) competed with me, he always surpassed me. In any case! They informed me that I never abandon this supplication: «اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ نَعِيمًا لَا يَبِيدُ وَقُرَّةَ عَيْنٍ لَا تَنْفَدُ وَمُرَافَقَةَ النَّبِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي أَعْلَى الْجَنَّةِ جَنَّةِ الْخُلْدِ» "O Allah! I ask You for such blessings that never end, for such coolness of the eyes that never ceases, and I ask You for the companionship of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the eternal Paradise."
