(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً ، وَفِتَنًا وَأُمُورًا تُنْكِرُونَهَا " ، قُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُ لِمَنْ أَدْرَكَ ذَلِكَ مِنَّا ؟ قَالَ : " تُؤَدُّونَ الْحَقَّ الَّذِي عَلَيْكُمْ ، وَتَسْأَلُونَ اللَّهَ الَّذِي لَكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon after me, you will see favoritism, trials, and matters you will dislike." We asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What should one among us do if he reaches that time? He said: "Fulfill the duties that are obligatory upon you, and ask Allah for your rights."
