Hadith 4117

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ أَبِي صَخْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا أَتَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ الْجَمْرَةَ جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ اسْتَبْطَنَ الْوَادِيَ ، وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ ، وَجَعَلَ الْجَمْرَةَ عَلَى حَاجِبِهِ الْأَيْمَنِ ، ثُمَّ رَمَى بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ ، يُكَبِّرُ مَعَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : مِنْ هَاهُنَا ، وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ ، رَمَى الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ " .
Abdur Rahman bin Yazid says that on the occasion of Hajj, Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) stoned the Jamrah Aqabah with seven pebbles from the bottom of the valley while riding, and he said takbeer with every pebble. At that time, he kept the Jamrah Aqabah on his right side and faced towards the House of Allah. Then he said, "By Him besides whom there is no deity, that Being also stood here upon whom Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed."
