Hadith 4081

(حديث موقوف) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ أَنَسٍ فِي جِنَازَةٍ ، " فَأَمَرَ بِالْمَيِّتِ ، فَسُلَّ مِنْ قِبَلِ رِجْلَيْهِ " .
Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I and Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) attended the funeral of an Ansari. At his instruction, the deceased was brought into the grave from the foot side by the people.
