Hadith 4071

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ السُّدِّيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُرَّةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ قَالَ لِي شُعْبَةُ : وَرَفَعَهُ ، وَلَا أَرْفَعُهُ لَكَ ، يَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : وَمَنْ يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍ بِظُلْمٍ سورة الحج آية 25 ، قَالَ : " لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا هَمَّ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍ وَهُوَ بِعَدَنِ أَبْيَنَ ، لَأَذَاقَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the interpretation of the Qur'anic verse: «﴿وَمَنْ يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍ بِظُلْمٍ نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ﴾» [الحج : 25] that whoever intends to commit deviation in the Haram of Makkah, whether he resides in «عدن أبين», Allah will surely make him taste a painful punishment.
