Hadith 4018

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَمَرَرْنَا بِقَرْيَةِ نَمْلٍ فَأُحْرِقَتْ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَنْبَغِي لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يُعَذِّبَ بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and we passed by a place where there were many ants. A man set fire to an ant hill. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It is not appropriate for any human to punish with the punishment of Allah."
