Hadith 400

Humran reports that once Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) sat on a stone platform and performed ablution. After that, he said: I am narrating to you a hadith which I heard directly from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). If there were not a verse in the Book of Allah (which contains condemnation for concealing knowledge), I would never have narrated this hadith to you: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution and does it well, then enters the mosque and offers prayer, all his sins will be forgiven until he offers the next prayer."
