(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، وَرَوْحٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَعْيَنِ الْعَبْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ الْجُشَمِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْقِرَدَةِ وَالْخَنَازِيرِ ، أَهِيَ مِنْ نَسْلِ الْيَهُودِ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يَلْعَنْ قَوْمًا قَطُّ ، قَالَ رَوْحٌ : فَمَسَخَهُمْ فَيَكُونَ لَهُمْ نَسْلٌ ، حَتَّى يُهْلِكَهُمْ ، وَلَكِنَّ هَذَا خَلْقٌ كَانَ ، فَلَمَّا غَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ مَسَخَهُمْ ، فَجَعَلَهُمْ مِثْلَهُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Are these monkeys and pigs from among the descendants of the Jews?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Whenever Allah cursed a people and transformed their forms, He did not leave any offspring of theirs after destroying them. Rather, this creation already existed before; when Allah's wrath descended upon the Jews and He transformed their forms, He made them like these."
