Hadith 3995

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ النِّسَاءَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُنَّ : " مَا مِنْكُنَّ امْرَأَةٌ يَمُوتُ لَهَا ثَلَاثَةٌ ، إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهَا اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الْجَنَّةَ " ، فَقَالَتْ أَجَلُّهُنَّ امْرَأَةً : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَصَاحِبَةُ الِاثْنَيْنِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ؟ قَالَ : " وَصَاحِبَةُ الِاثْنَيْنِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed the women and said: "Whoever among you has three children who have died, Allah will admit her to Paradise." The oldest woman among them spoke up and said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Will the one who has lost two children also enter Paradise?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one with two (children) will also enter Paradise."
