Hazrat Ma'di Karib says that once we went to the service of Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and requested him to recite Surah Ta-Sin Mim—which consists of two hundred verses. He said, "I do not remember this Surah, but you should go to the person who memorized and learned it directly from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that is, Sayyiduna Khabbab bin Aratt (may Allah be pleased with him)." So we went to Sayyiduna Khabbab bin Aratt (may Allah be pleased with him), and he recited that Surah to us.
