Hadith 3975

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةً لَا أَدْرِي زَادَ ، أَوْ نَقَصَ ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ، وَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led a prayer; I do not remember whether there was some deficiency or excess in it. In any case, when he finished with salam, he performed two prostrations of forgetfulness.
