Hadith 3941

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ رَوْحٌ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، أَنَّهُ حَجَّ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، " فَرَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ الْكُبْرَى بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ ، وَجَعَلَ الْبَيْتَ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ، وَمِنًى عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، وَقَالَ : هَذَا مَقَامُ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ " .
Abdur Rahman bin Yazid says that he performed Hajj with Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) threw seven pebbles at Jamrah Aqabah and kept the House of Allah (the Ka'bah) on his left side and Mina on his right side, and said: This is the place where Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
