Hadith 3938

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُمَحِيَّ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ الْأَوْدِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " حُرِّمَ عَلَى النَّارِ كُلُّ هَيِّنٍ لَيِّنٍ سَهْلٍ قَرِيبٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The fire of Hell has been made forbidden for every person who is dignified, gentle-natured, easy-going (not quarrelsome), and close to people."
