Hadith 3924

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " انْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ الْجَبَلَ مِنْ بَيْنِ فُرْجَتَيْ الْقَمَرِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the moon was split into two parts once, to the extent that I saw the moon between its two pieces.
