Hadith 3914

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الصُّفَّةِ مَاتَ ، فَوُجِدَ فِي بُرْدَتِهِ دِينَارَانِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَيَّتَانِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that one of the people of Suffah passed away, and two dinars were found in his sheet. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "These are two coals of Hell."
