Hadith 3874

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَرْمِي الْجَمْرَةَ مِنَ الْمَسِيلِ ، فَقُلْتُ : أَمِنْ هَاهُنَا تَرْمِيهَا ؟ فَقَالَ : مِنْ هَاهُنَا ، وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ ، " رَمَاهَا الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ 65 " .
Abdur Rahman bin Yazid says that Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) was stoning the Jamrah Aqabah from the bottom of the valley. I said to him, "Are you stoning from here?" He replied, "By Him besides whom there is no deity, this is the very place from where He stoned, upon whom Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed."
