Abu Aqrab says that once, during the month of Ramadan in the morning, I went to visit Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him). I found him sitting on the roof of his house. We heard his voice saying: "Allah has spoken the truth and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has conveyed (the message)." We went to him and asked: "We heard you saying that Allah has spoken the truth and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has conveyed (the message). What does this mean?" He replied that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Laylat al-Qadr is in the middle of the last seven nights of Ramadan, and after that night, when the morning comes and the sun rises, it is completely clear, and it has no rays." I was just observing this, and I found it exactly as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had said.
