(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا طَلْقُ بْنُ غَنَّامِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شَيْخٌ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ ، إِمَّا قَالَ : شَقِيقٌ ، وَإِمَّا قَالَ : زِرٌّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُو لِهَذَا الْحَيِّ مِنَ النَّخَعِ ، أَوْ قَالَ : يُثْنِي عَلَيْهِمْ ، حَتَّى تَمَنَّيْتُ أَنِّي رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was present in the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was supplicating or praising for the tribe of Banu Nakha' to such an extent that I began to wish that I too was from among them.
