Hadith 382

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ : أَنَّ عُمَرَ قَبَّلَهُ وَالْتَزَمَهُ ، ثُمّ قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِكَ حَفِيًّا " ، يَعْنِي الْحَجَرَ .
Suwaid bin Ghaflah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I saw once that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) embraced the Black Stone and kissed it, and addressing it, said: "I have seen Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) showing kindness to you."
