Shaqiq reports that one day Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) came and, standing among us, said: "I have been informed that you people are waiting for me. I have not come to you only because I do not like to cause you boredom. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also used to leave some days without admonition for the same reason, as he too did not like us to become bored."
