Hadith 3581

Shaqiq says that one day we were waiting in the mosque for Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) to arrive, when Yazid bin Mu'awiyah Nakha'i came. He said: Shall I go and see? If he is at home, perhaps I can bring him to you? So after a little while, Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) came and, standing among us, said: I have been informed that you are waiting for me. I have not come to you only because I do not like to make you weary, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would also leave some days empty in admonition and advice for the same reason, as he did not like us to become weary.
