Hadith 3569

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ ذَرٍّ ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ مَهَانَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْنَ يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ ، وَلَوْ مِنْ حُلِيِّكُنَّ ، فَإِنَّكُنَّ أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ " ، فَقَامَتِ امْرَأَةٌ لَيْسَتْ مِنْ عِلْيَةِ النِّسَاءِ ، فَقَالَتْ : لِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " لِأَنَّكُنَّ تُكْثِرْنَ اللَّعْنَ ، وَتَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O group of women! Give charity, even if it is from your jewelry, because you are the majority in Hell." A woman—who was not among the prominent women—stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What is the reason for this?" He replied: "The reason is that you curse a lot and are very ungrateful and disobedient to your husbands."
