Muslim bin Subaih says that I went with Masruq to a church where there was a statue of Mary (peace be upon her). Masruq asked: Is this the statue of Kisra? I said: No, rather it is the statue of Mary (peace be upon her). He said: I heard Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that "On the Day of Resurrection, the people who will receive the severest punishment will be the image-makers."
