Hadith 3552

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا سَيَّارٌ وَمُغِيرَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ : خَصْلَتَانِ يَعْنِي إِحْدَاهُمَا سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَالْأُخْرَى مِنْ نَفْسِي : " مَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ يَجْعَلُ لِلَّهِ نِدًّا ، دَخَلَ النَّارَ " . وَأَنَا أَقُولُ : مَنْ مَاتَ ، وَهُوَ لَا يَجْعَلُ لِلَّهِ نِدًّا ، وَلَا يُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا ، دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ .
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that there are two statements: one I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the other I say from myself. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever dies in a state while associating partners with Allah, will enter Hell." And I say: Whoever dies in a state while not associating anyone with Allah, will enter Paradise.
