ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 3491

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعُرَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ إِذَا رَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ ، أَيَتَطَيَّبُ ؟ فَقَالَ : " أَمَّا أَنَا ، فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ الْمِسْكَ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَفَمِنْ الطِّيبِ هُوَ أَمْ لَا ؟ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man asked: After stoning the Jamrah Aqabah, is it also permissible to apply perfume? Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) replied: I myself have seen with my own eyes the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) applying a perfume called musk to his head. Is that not perfume?
