Hadith 3482

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade meeting traders on the way before they reach the city and buying goods from them at a price of one's own choosing, or for a city dweller to buy and sell on behalf of a villager. When the narrator asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the meaning of this, he replied that no city dweller should act as a broker for a villager.
