ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 3426

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ . وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، الْمَعْنَى ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمْ الْبَيَاضَ ، فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خَيْرِ ثِيَابِكُمْ ، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ ، وَإِنَّ خَيْرَ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ ، إِنَّهُ يُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ ، وَيَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wear white clothes, for they are the best of your clothes, and shroud your dead in them. And the best kohl among you is antimony (ithmid), for it sharpens the eyesight and grows the eyelashes."
