Hadith 3411

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that we traveled between Makkah and Madinah with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not fear anyone except Allah, yet even so, until we returned, he performed prayers as two rak‘ahs (shortened the prayer).
