ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 3408

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ . وحَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : عَفَّانُ : أَنْبَأَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنِ الْوَتْرِ ، فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " رَكْعَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ " ، قَالَ : وَسَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " رَكْعَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ " .
Abu Mujliz says that I once asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) about Witr, so he replied that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Witr is one rak'ah in the last part of the night." Then I asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about this, and he also gave the same answer.
