Hadith 3390

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that an angel came to Hazrat Hajar (peace be upon her), and when he reached near Zamzam, he struck with his heel, from which a spring gushed forth. She quickly took water with a bowl and filled her water-skin. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “May Allah have mercy on her; if she had not hurried, that spring would have continued to flow until the Day of Resurrection (and would have spread far and wide).”
