It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out of the toilet, and food was brought to him. Someone said, "O Messenger of Allah, will you not perform ablution?" He replied, "I have been commanded to perform ablution only when I intend to pray."
