ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 3349
اُردوEn
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ شُفَيٍّ ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ مُسَافِرًا صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was on a journey, he would perform only two rak'ahs (shortened prayer).
