ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 3342

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَيْرُ ثِيَابِكُمْ الْبَيَاضُ ، فَالْبَسُوهَا أَحْيَاءً ، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ ، وَخَيْرُ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wear white clothes, for they are the best of your clothes, and shroud your dead in them. And the best kohl among you is antimony (ithmid)."
