Hadith 3317

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once we traveled between Makkah and Madinah with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, we were in a state of security, there was absolutely no fear of anything, yet even then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the prayer as two rak‘ahs (shortened it) until we returned.
