Hadith 3305

Shu’bah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw a man who, while prostrating, had spread his arms on the ground. He said: “This is how a dog sits. I have seen that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prostrated, the whiteness of his blessed armpits could be seen (meaning his hands were so far apart).”
