Musnad Ahmad
ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 3290
اُردوEn
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَدَّ ابْنَتَهُ زَيْنَبَ عَلَى أَبِي الْعَاصِ زَوْجِهَا بِنِكَاحِهَا الْأَوَّلِ بَعْدَ سَنَتَيْنِ ، وَلَمْ يُحْدِثْ صَدَاقًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) handed over his daughter, Sayyidah Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her), to her husband Abu Al-As bin Al-Rabi’ (upon his acceptance of Islam) after two years, on the basis of the first marriage contract, and did not set a new dowry.
