ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 3266

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُهُ بِعَرَفَةَ ، فَوَجَدْتُهُ يَأْكُلُ رُمَّانًا ، فَقَالَ : ادْنُ فَكُلْ ، لَعَلَّكَ صَائِمٌ ؟ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لَا يَصُومُهُ . وَقَالَ مَرَّةً : " إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَصُمْ هَذَا الْيَوْمَ " .
Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I was present in the plain of Arafat in the company of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), he was eating pomegranate at that time. He said to me, "Come closer and eat as well. Perhaps you are fasting? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not fast in the plain of Arafat."
