ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 3239

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ " دَعَا أَخَاهُ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ إِلَى طَعَامٍ ، قَالَ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ . قَالَ : إِنَّكُمْ أَئِمَّةٌ يُقْتَدَى بِكُمْ ، قَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَعَا بِحِلَابٍ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ ، فَشَرِبَ " . وَقَالَ يَحْيَى مَرَّةً : أَهْلُ بَيْتٍ يُقْتَدَى بِكُمْ .
Ata bin Abi Rabah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) invited his brother Fadl (may Allah be pleased with him) to eat on the day of Arafah. He replied that he was fasting. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "You people are leaders; people follow your example. I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) call for a vessel of milk on this day and he drank it."
