It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) reached Dhul-Hulaifah, he entered into the state of Ihram for Hajj, drew blood from the right side of his she-camel and smeared it on her, then cleaned off that blood and hung sandals around her neck.
