It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent some of us young boys from Banu Abd al-Muttalib ahead from Muzdalifah, mounted on our own donkeys, and while striking our legs with his hand, he said: "Dear children! Do not stone the Jamrah Aqabah before sunrise." Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: Now I do not think that any sensible person would stone before sunrise.
