It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set out in the month of Ramadan regarding the conquest of Makkah. He (peace be upon him) was fasting. When he reached a place called Qudayd, he (peace be upon him) asked for a glass of milk and drank it, and the people also broke their fast until they reached Makkah.
