ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 3136

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ عِنْدَ الْحَجَرِ ، وَعِنْدَهُ مِحْجَنٌ يَضْرِبُ بِهِ الْحَجَرَ ، وَيُقَبِّلُهُ ، فَقَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ سورة آل عمران آية 102 ، لَوْ أَنَّ قَطْرَةً قُطِرَتْ مِنَ الزَّقُّومِ فِي الْأَرْضِ ، لَأَمَرَّتْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا مَعِيشَتَهُمْ ، فَكَيْفَ بِمَنْ هُوَ طَعَامُهُ ، وَلَيْسَ لَهُ طَعَامٌ غَيْرُهُ ؟ ! " .
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once people were performing Tawaf of the Ka'bah and Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was present in the Haram. He also had a stick with him. He said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: «﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ﴾ [آل عمران : 102]» "O you who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims." He said: "If even a single drop of Zaqqum were to drip onto the earth, it would make the lives of the people of the earth bitter. Now think, what will be the state of the one whose food is Zaqqum." Benefit: "Zaqqum" is the name of a tree in Hell.
