ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 3122

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنِ التَّمِيمِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَقَدْ أُمِرْتُ بِالسِّوَاكِ ، حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ سَيَنْزِلُ بِهِ عَلَيَّ قُرْآنٌ ، أَوْ وَحْيٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was commanded regarding the miswak with such emphasis that I began to fear that perhaps a verse of the Qur'an would be revealed to me about it (and my ummah would not be able to fulfill this command)."
