(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ
سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ
عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ ، فَجَعَلَ يُثْنِي عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ سِحْرًا ، وَإِنَّ مِنَ الشِّعْرِ حُكْمًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once a Bedouin came to the presence of the Messenger of Allah and spoke very eloquently. Upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Some poetry is full of wisdom, and some speech has an effect like magic."
